You are dynamic, creative and resilient, able to respond decisively and with rigour to the day-to-day challenges of project-based people issues. You will be required to develop and implement policies and procedures relevant to the local context and that support the project in a tangible and sustainable way, whilst ensuring strong alignment with Wood Group PSN?s global management systems and Core Values. The project environment is fast-paced and will test your attention to detail, planning and prioritising capabilities to their fullest. Reporting back to the regional HR Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership and accurate reporting the full spectrum of human resources services and delivery, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, grievance and disciplinary, legal advice and general support. Key responsibilities include;Ensuring successful project start up and implementation of contract HR deliverables; Ensuring processes, systems, and procedures are realigned to the needs of the contract and are robust and fit for purpose; Effective mobilisation processes are in place, including on-boarding, operational management and de-mobilisation; Setting clear expectations and goals with your team and providing suitable direction and support; Leading best practise people strategies across the PNG project and ensuring they are aligned to local and cultural requirements; Communicating HR policies and procedures effectively and appropriately to all managers and contract employees, adapting communication style and approach as appropriate; Acting as the focal point for expatriate staff, both pre and post mobilisation Job Requirements You are a degree qualified HR professional with a strong track record in engineering and/or construction, project-based environments, ideally with some prior experience in oil and gas, mining, power or heavy civil/industrial construction projects. You relish the challenge that a blank canvas can bring and are able to manage change and ambiguity with aplomb, relying on your expert knowledge and delivery skills to find innovative solutions that can be deployed with minimum fuss and maximum impact. Managing multiple stakeholders with sometimes conflicting goals can be challenging and your sound conflict resolution, negotiation and communication skills will ensure that your team is able to navigate issues successfully to find win-win outcomes.Additional Details Why is WGPSN where you want to be??
