Brief Posting Description Wood Group PSN have an urgent requirement for a Senior Contracts Specialist to be based in the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea.Detailed Description As senior contracts specialist you will be responsible for a full range of subcontracting activities to support a Brownfield oil and gas project covering both EPC and O&M work scopes. Activities will range from preparation and evaluation of tenders, post award administration through to close out. Key Accountabilities will include;• Management of the pre-contract process of bidder qualification and administration of tenders.• Preparation and negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions.• Supervision of kick off meetings and agreement of communications schedule with the business and subcontractors.• Development, implementation and management of subcontractor incentive schemes and Key Performance Indicators.• Post award administration including; invoice checking, query resolution and recording and raising call off orders.• Commercial audits of subcontractors and the preparation of cost reports internally.• Maintenance of subcontract files (including insurance documents) in accordance with established procedures.Job Requirements To be successful in this role you will require proven experience in the management of subcontracts preferably within the oil and gas industry. Exceptional communication skills will be required to effectively interface with both commercial and technical personnel. In addition, strong working knowledge and experience of using Procurement/Supply Chain Management systems such as Maximo, SAP or preferably Oracle will be essential.
