Morobe Mining JV are looking for an experienced Mobile Equipment Coordinator - Trucks to safely oversee the Truck Fleet Maintenance section in delivery of maintenance activities and services for: - HD785 Trucks - HM400 Trucks - Service and Water Trucks (HM300 and HD465) in order that both production and maintenance customers are able to meet necessary costs, production and performance targets Job Requirements: Contributing to the Management of HSE risk related to Mobile Fleet Maintenance by:Assist in the implementation of HSE particularly as it relates to Mobile Fleet Maintenance.Contributing to the identification of the significant HSEC risks and impacts related to Mobile Fleet Maintenance including those related to applicable legislation.Assist in the development and implementation of plans / controls to mitigate significant HSEC impacts.Ensuring that Mobile Fleet Maintenance staff have the necessary competencies awareness and training to effectively manage HSEC risk.Ensuring that HSEC incidents are reported and assist in investigations to identify any additional controls required.Ensuring that all OHSEC materials and tools designed, created and implemented within the section are professionally and correctly evaluated for their effectiveness.Develop and ensure the continuous improvement of safety best practice in line with MMJV's Safety System:Attend and/or conduct regular safety meetings.Audit the weekly 274 inspection for completion.Ensure the Section builds and uses SOPs relevant to their work.Conduct & ensure the target number of JSEA's in operational area are completed per week.Actively promote continuous improvement in safety performance throughout the workforce.Ensuring that the OHSEC behavioural culture is improved to the MMJV vision and is maintained. Maintenance including:To oversee the maintenance activities of the Truck Fleet by providing technical advice and direction to the supervisors and crews, setting and implementing daily maintenance activities and monitoring the outcome of maintenance activities and services.Liaison including:Actively participate in all section activities, safety meetings, shift handover communications, toolbox meetings and any other activities as required. Liaise with service providers to gain agreement on priorities & update customers.Regularly liaise with mining production team regarding the performance and quality of support being provided.Ensuring that all employees and supervisors staff within the section are consistently delivering outcomes for job competencies.Ensuring a co-operative and collaborative relationship is maintained throughout all departments; ie; other maintenance departments and mining department.Sensitively and professionally working with employees at all levels within the organisation from a wide range of cultures.Technical Advice including:Provision of technical advice for existing plant and development projects.Managing visiting consultants.Fault finding and failure analysis.Planning & Scheduling including:Ensure that Truck Fleet Maintenance section adheres to the MMJV Work Management System.Participating in and provide coaching and mentoring for Area Supervisors with respect to the development of and execution of weekly schedules.Develop and implement a maintenance schedule for mobile equipment focusing on the 3-12 month period.Leadership including:Provide leadership and mentoring for area supervisors, including ongoing training and development, performance management, conflict resolution and crisis management.Essential skillsAt least 5 years experience in mobile fleet maintenance and supervision or similar technical roleExperience working in an open-pit mining or heavy vehicle service environmentExperience performing mining equipment service or maintenance tasksExperience as a workshop supervisor in heavy vehicle maintenanceExperience leading a heavy vehicle maintenance National workforce teamTradesman Certificate
