Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Director to oversee operations on a major Highlands road project. National PNG candidates or Ex pats can apply, but must have former relevant experience in PNG.The relevant candidate will benefit from demonstrated experience delivering major projects in remote regions. Our client is searching for a candidate with senior project management experience and strong technical skills, the ability to drive a high level of client satisfaction coupled with an approach to excellence in project delivery. You will apply your commercial expertise in relation to financials and legal, manage and anticipate risk, lead and mentor the project leadership team, whilst effectively managing the interface between client, project and head office. Preference is for the individual to be on a roster (perhaps 6:2). The position will be based in the highlands of PNG and prior civil experience including bulk earthworks, roads, flyovers, bridges and organizing local crews of different nationalities is preferred. The role itself will be managing an external contractor for a client side organization.
