About the role:
The position will provide the opportunity for a highly experienced Upstream Oil & Gas Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and supervise a mixed national and expatriate upstream maintenance workforce in a mature asset production environment in PNG.
You will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the upstream facilities, scheduling work orders in the priority of importance, implementing and improving upon procedures, processes and practices for predictive and ongoing maintenance and repairs in order to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment throughout the PNG Upstream Oil & Gas production facilities.
You will be working on an equal-time rotation 28 days on, 28 days off, flying from your city of residence. All flights are covered and accommodation is provided in a modern camp facility.
Key responsibilities:
Supervises the team to carry out maintenance activities to all relevant standards and requirements in order to ensure the optional functioning of equipment
Leads and develops a high performing team in order to maximise employee capability development, engagement and enablement
Promotes and implements the company’s Health, Safety and Environment and Security policies in order to hold the team accountable for ensuring a safe working environment
Manages all aspects of day to day equipment maintenance from identification of breakdowns, replacements of parts and maintenance of spares in order to allow for smooth and continuous operations of machinery
Essential selection criteria:
Instrument/mechanical trade qualification and/or engineering degree
Demonstrated experience with managing foreign national workforces including coaching and development.
Experience in preventative and corrective maintenance activities on oil and gas metering systems
Minimum 15 years Oil & Gas maintenance experience with at least 4 to 5 years as Maintenance Supervisor
Must have significant maintenance experience working in mature upstream production facilities
Previous owners team experience managing subcontractors and maintenance personnel
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities to ensure production availability
This role is offered on a FIFO basis with the point of hire being Australia. It is essential you hold relevant working rights for Australia/NZ.
