Shutdown Planner / Scheduler - Papua New Guinea

WorleyParsons is a leading provider of professional services to the resources & energy sectors and complex process industries.  Our services cover the full asset spectrum both in size and lifecycle from the creation of new assets to services that sustain and enhance operating assets.  With approximately 23,000 employees across 42 countries, we continue to push boundaries and extend our capabilities around the world.  We're an ASX 200 Listed company that prides itself on providing safe and high-quality services which exceed our clients' expectations, which is why we manage some of the worlds leading projects.  At WorleyParsons we are proud of our people and passionate about delivery.We are now seeking Shutdown Planners / Schedulers to join the turnaround team in our client's overseas Operations team.  These are FIFO roles, 15/13 roster.  The successful individuals will be responsible for working as part of a team to deliver:    Working in a customers operational team that drives excellence in shutdown safety, schedule and cost effectiveness; Developing and optimising the annual plan and shutdown schedules; Playing a key role in shutdown daily management and execution to facilitate the effective coordination of all resources and activities required to deliver the necessary scope of work for the overhaul on schedule and within budget; Progress tracking and achievement of best practice turnaround; Creating detailed plans and schedule required to coordinate all activities and work groups; Providing progress tracking, auditing and reporting as part of the daily management process; Development of detailed work packs for scope of work execution; Cost management of the shutdown with the ability to drive cost reductions in the budget; Strong computer skills, particularly using SAP and MS Project; Highly developed communication skills and attention to detail.To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:Strong background in P6, SAP and MS projects; Extensive experience with gyratory primary crushing and conveyors, jaw crusher, oxygen and total plant shutdowns and other similar areas; Experienced with developing major shutdown work scopes and budgets, along with the collation of work packs and work instructions; Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to successfully build relationships across departments at all levels.This role requires a person with a thorough knowledge of project planning and schedule systems, who will utilise these skills efficiently to produce shutdown management plans.  The successful applicant will have a trade or technical background and experience in planning / scheduling for major shutdowns or projects.  A formal project management or planning qualification will be highly considered.We offer a competitive remuneration & benefits package, a friendly, professional and dynamic working environment with the opportunity to develop your career prospects globally.  WorleyParsons recognises the value of equal employment opportunity and is committed to promoting fairness, equity and diversity in its workplace.You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration and only those candidates with appropriate qualifications and experience will be contacted directly.
