The company has traditionally specialised in competence framework, competence management and engineering, procurement and construction of scaled Live Process Plants purpose-built for Oil & Gas Projects.
We are now recruiting for Technical Trainer and Assessor roles across four key disciplines; Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechancial, and Production.
As an SGI Technical Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for training and assessing various Oil & Gas Client trainees at the Safe Live Process Plant (SLPP) installation and training centre in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering technical training programs according to SGI content and standards
Working to training schedules and classroom agendas
Preparing training material for classroom sessions (presentations, worksheets etc.)
Executing training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
Arranging for and conduct on-site training and/or competence assessment
Keeping and reporting data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
Observing and evaluating results of training programs
Completing Competence Assessments on the SLPP with supporting evidence
Guiding trainees to develop their competence portfolio in line with SGI Competence Profile
Determining overall effectiveness of programs and suggest improvements
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
The candidate must have a time-served Apprenticeship in a relevant trade, or equivalent qualification and experience.
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a relevant discipline in the Oil & Gas industry.
Accredited Training qualification and/or experience as a Technical Instructor.
Accredited A1/A2 Assessor qualification.
Strong written and spoken English.
Desirable:
Cross-discipline experience.
Offshore experience.
The position is based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and is a long-term assignment.
Rotation is 4 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF.
Economy travel is provided at the start and end of each rotation.
All transport, accommodation, and food is provided on site.
Employment status will be self-employed consultant.
