Role Summary
The LMP (Liquid Mud Plant)
Operator
- Take delivery of incoming
materials make quality checks and ensure correct storage
- Ensure safe and reliable
delivery of products to customers
- Perform decanting of liquid
chemical products into offshore tanks as required for customer orders
- Contribute to maintaining the
warehouse within housekeeping and DG storage standards
- Ensure samples are managed as
per QC requirements
- Perform plant maintenance and
checks
Essential Responsibilities PRODUCTION
- Perform
transfer of packaged liquid and bulk products
- Preparation
of drilling fluids and brines to formulations specified by management using
filtration and centrifuging where required
- Check
that raw materials and packaging is available prior to decanting
- Take
product samples for QC as detailed in operations procedures
- Ensure
QC approval prior to repacking or bulk product transfer as detailed in
operational procedures
- To
conduct basic drilling fluids laboratory testing (Density Viscosity pH)
- Manage
daily forklift requirements
- Unload load
transport carriers as per sales or purchase order status
- Perform
maintenance checks as stipulated in SENSYCAM
HSE
- Meet
company expectations for HSE standards and policy
- Attend
daily toolbox meeting
- Participate
in the observation system at the required frequency per the BHGE OFS ANP HSE
Plan
- Attend
monthly safety meeting and training as required
- Apply
five fundamentals of a perfect HSE day
- Ensure
PPE is worn as per operational procedures
QUALITY
- Ensure
stock are received with correct quality paperwork
- Ensure
product is not shipped to customer if it doesn’t meet the required quality
specifications
- Read
and be familiar with the Quality Management Plan
- Report
any product non-conformances to Supply Base Manager or Quality Production
Operator
ADMINISTRATION
- Advise
Site Supervisor of possible stock shortages
- Help
with stock takes as required
Qualifications Requirements
- Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 -5 years’ experience in
warehousing
- Experience in handling chemical
product is preferred

- Ability
to read and interpret routine instructions
- Ability
to communicate in English
- Ability
to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Mechanical
aptitude
- Ability
to drive forklift and obtain certification
