Wood is currently recruiting for a Turnaround Manager with extensive experience within EPCM environment to join our team in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule (28 days on 28 days off) Reporting directly to the In-Country Manager this position will be responsible for all aspects of turnarounds from preparations and planning through turnaround execution through to successful completion adhering to company and client standards and HSSE legislation throughout Previous proven experience in Turnaround planning site management construction supervision with ability to manage multi discipline workforceswould be highly regarded Responsibilities - Leads Constructability reviews and selects innovative construction solutions
- Accountable for site planning and resource management including subcontractors to ensure safe and timely execution of work activities as per project plans
- Develops and verifies activities for the turnaround schedule in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure
- Plans and organise turnaround staging plan for client and Wood turnaround work activities in line with turnaround schedules in a timely manner to ensure information materials tools and equipment are available to avoid minimal disruption to workforce
- Accountable for site progress reporting and identifying any opportunities issues in a timely manner
- Responsible for site Industrial Relations management
- Participate and own the work break down structure for each job on the turnaround
- Reviews the quality of the drawing as builds timely certification sign off and close out of work packs
- Ensure material tools and equipment are fit for purpose checked and certified prior to use
- Actively input to Construction estimate CTR’s (in collaboration with the Construction Engineers)
- Clarification of roles and responsibilities of site team
- Construction input into the Project and Engineering Design
Skills Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in a Supervisory role in the oil and gas related projects
- Past major turnaround experience
- Demonstrates technical expertise integrity and the ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organisation
- Demonstrates sound fact-based decision making and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues clients and contractors to help teams achieve goals
- Able to understand changing trends and developments within the Industrial Relations arena and understand and communicate their impact to the business
- Actively develops relationships with customers and Wood entities via regular contact and involvement Demonstrates ability to develop long and short-term service relationships
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills both written and oral
- International assignment project experience in similar roles will be highly regarded
