PNG Procurement Coordinator

Wood is currently recruiting for multiple Procurement Coordinators to join our team in Hides Papua New Guinea on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule (28 days on 28 days off) Our Supply Chain team is currently entering a growth phase to support a number of new projects and these roles are critical in ensuring that all procurement services are managed effectively for our global clients Working closely with Project Managers you will be a key focal point for all purchasing expediting and logistics requirements on site  You will take on a range of responsibilities including - Reviewing the current Procurement Processes supply base in-country to improve cycle time of delivery to Projects - Supervise team of Buyer and expeditors - Supporting the purchasing of material and equipment packages - Managing the expediting of materials and equipment on site - Review Procurement reports for issuance to various stakeholders on a weekly basis - Liaise with Construction regularly and prioritise delivery to meet expectations - Monitor Invoice processing and timely payments to vendors to ensure no impact to delivery Liaise closely with AP to resolve bottlenecks paving way for payments - Build vendor relationships for improvement in processes - Closing out purchase orders Skills Qualifications - At least 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry - At least 5 years’ experience in purchasing and expediting type roles - Experience working with international suppliers and logistics companies in the placement of orders and expediting of materials - Well developed cross cultural communication skills - Advanced ERP (Oracle SAP) system and MS Office- Word Excel & Powerpoint - Strong organisational and planning skills - Able to work in remote locations without direct supervision If you’re an experienced Procurement Coordinator ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today  Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets We operate in more than 60 countries employing around 60 000 people with revenues of over 10 billion   We provide performance-driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream midstream and downstream oil & gas power & process environment and infrastructure clean energy mining nuclear and general industrial sectors   www woodplc com   Diversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following (which is a non-exhaustive list) race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
