Wood is currently recruiting for Electrical & Instrumentation Foreman to provide direction support and feedback for all team members to facilitate the delivery of cost effective quality service and the achievement of business objectives The main responsibility of this position is to ensure Supervision of a group of Technicians Trades persons Trades Assistants Apprentices and subcontract labor Service providers This role will primarily be based at the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP) in PNG on rotational basis (28 days on off) and will be reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor Responsibilities - Assist the Supervisor to monitoring and maintain contract KRA and the associated KPI’s such as (KRA) Safety – (KPI) WorkSafe and Energy safe notices LTI and restricted duty incidents (KRA) Sustainability and Environment – (KPI) EPA offences Heritage Incidents (KRA) Service delivery – (KPI) Work order response time (Level 1 1A 2 3 & 4) Unscheduled Maintenance and Scheduled Maintenance backlog
- Undertake the preparation and control of plant maintenance overhauls modification refurbishment and LRC works ensuring the works are carried out with
- The correct quality safety environmental and technical work procedures and plans
- Quality specification in accordance with Company and or Clients requirements
- Comply with Occupation Health & Safety and Public Health Requirements
- Identify and report non-conforming works and or supplies that appear in the designated work area and actively participate which includes the authority to stop work ensuring that future non-conformances can be prevented
- Distribution and preparation (where appropriate) of technical procedures work instructions inspections and test plans JSEA estimates and checklists (as required) including the verification of their implementation
- Identify and provide training Mentoring (in forwarding own expertise) to other employees with respect to the requirements of gaining competencies
Skills Qualifications
- Certificate III Electrical Certificate IV Instrumentation Or Equivalent with relevant considerable experience
- Demonstrate balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
- Intellectually capable can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context
- Professional demeanour interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Enthusiastic conscientious and keen to learn
- Mobile and willing to spend time away from office location as and when operation requires
