Wood is currently recruiting for Field Engineers with extensive experience to join the team in Hides based at the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant in PNG on rotational basis (28 days on off) Reporting to the Construction Coordinator the successful incumbent will act as an engineering interface focal point between project engineering delivery teams and project execution teams Responsibilities- Clearly define the scope manage execution on agreed schedule and budget
- Work actively with Construction Coordinator & In-Country Contract Manager to execute agreed scoped of work safely and effectively
- Provides practical application input to engineered designs and proposals
- Liaises between the Construction Engineering and Project Execution teams to provide engineering technical support through technical interpretation and technical query management
- Implement and maintain a safe working environment adhering to correct work practices procedures and other requirements
Skills Qualifications
- 3 years minimum experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a Field based Engineering role
- Tertiary qualification in disciplinary engineering considered highly advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with project design and construction personnel
- Ability to work with a group of engineers executing multiple brownfield modification projects
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
- Actively managing and promoting the personnel safety performance & safely culture
- Interface with Contractor s Project and Discipline Engineers Contractor s Construction personnel and Company s Operations personnel to develop construction work plans
- Demonstrates sound fact based decision making and the ability to collaborate with colleagues the client and subcontractors to achieve Contract goals and outcomes
- Identifies the primary task in each team situation and maintains clear focus to achieve results
- Demonstrates sound fact-based decision making and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues clients and contractors to help teams achieve goals
