Quality Control Inspector - Pipeline AUT /Welding

Wood is currently recruiting for two Quality Inspector – Pipeline AUT Welding with extensive experience within EPC environment to join our team in Hides Papua New Guinea on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule (28 days on 28 days off)  Reporting directly to the Senior Quality Coordinator  this position will be responsible to monitor construction processes and perform surveillance & construction quality inspection activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans Responsibilities - Perform inspection activities at worksites and or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the Senior Quality Coordinator (SQC) - Support inspection of materials and review of material certification prior to use - Witness Review of site inspection and testing activities as stipulated in ITPs - Oversight fabrication and construction contractor activities including rework and repair activities - Undertake reviews of AUT logs Weld Logs Welder Qualifications NDE Qualifications - Complete inspection reports and issue to SQC - Perform final inspection release and material custody transfer activities - Undertake review and endorsement of product certification and Contractors construction records - Report any inspection deficiencies and Contractor queries to SQC and Quality Engineer - Ensure material traceability requirements are maintained and quarantine of materials when required - Assist in auditing of construction management processes Skills Qualifications - At least 5 years’ relevant experience in pipeline construction quality role - Diploma (or equivalent local qualification) in engineering or quality related activity - Inspector Certification Welding from Recognised Industry national body - AUT NDT qualified level 2 Radiographic Interpretation certificate - Demonstrates technical expertise integrity and the ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organisation - Demonstrated strong commitment to safety - Commitment to overall quality Safety and Assurance and the need to reduce business incidents (Safety Business quality and technical) - Commitment to continuous improvement - Clear written and verbal communication skills - International assignment project experience in similar roles will be highly regarded If you’re an experienced Quality Inspector – Pipeline AUT Welding ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets We operate in more than 60 countries employing around 60 000 people with revenues of over 10 billion   We provide performance-driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream midstream and downstream oil & gas power & process environment and infrastructure clean energy mining nuclear and general industrial sectors   www woodplc com   Diversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following (which is a non-exhaustive list) race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
