Wood is currently recruiting a People & Organization (P&O) Support Services Officer to be based at the LNG Plant Site Port Moresby on rotational basis (28 days on off) Reporting to the In Country P&O Manager this role is responsible for providing generalist HR Administrative support to the In-Country Team as well as providing support at each stage of the employee life cycle and will act as the first point of contact for any human resources related queries Responsibilities - Produce new starter change of terms and conditions and termination documentation
- Liaise with project controls to administer the client’s Personal Assignment Authority Form (PAAF)
- Coordinate the on-boarding of new hires (National and Expatriate)
- Schedule trainings including Wood and client inductions as required
- Process changes to employee details in Oracle Gateway
- Liaise with external providers to arrange overseas medicals and visas required for in country assignments to PNG
- Ensure data integrity is maintained at all times
- Provide HRIS (Oracle Gateway) reports as required
- Ensure maintenance and integrity of hard and soft copy files
- Provide assistance in roll out of HR initiatives and projects as required
- Respond to any ‘first line’ HR queries including interpretation of policies and procedures and other direct questions as appropriate
- Monitor employees’ ongoing requirements on TB MCCP D&A
- Liaise with external providers in Philippines and Global Mobility in Singapore for the on boarding of Expatriates OCN’s OFW’s
- Daily updates of the Mobilisation Tracker in SharePoint
Skills Qualifications
- HR degree or equivalent preferred
- 2-3 years HR administration experience preferable covering professional and trade roles
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
- Demonstrated understanding of internal policies and processes and some knowledge of generalist HR practices and requirements Escalate issues to appropriate HR team members where appropriate
- Identify the primary task in each team situation and maintain clear focus to achieve results Demonstrate sound fact-based decision making and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues clients and contractors to help teams achieve goals
