Airswift is currently looking for an experienced Field Electrical Engineer to work on a major upstream Oil Gas project based on a rotational basis in Papua New Guinea The project requires extensive modifications and upgrades to existing brownfield operating facilities which are based in PNG The Field Electrical Engineer will form part of a multi-disciplinary owners field engineering team reporting to the Early Works Construction Managers The position shall take responsibility of design execution of electrical works during Early Works and future phases of the project and shall provide the technical assurance and support for all aspects of electrical engineering executed by the Contractor s including oversight of work plans& 044 quality of (electrical) deliverables and value adding strategies Location- Papua New GuineaDuration - 4 year & 8211 Fixed Term ContractRota- 28 days on 28 days offResponsibilities- Accountable for the technical accuracy& 044 scope management and quality of the Electrical installations for the project& 044 including application of applicable codes and standards
- Assist with detailed planning of field electrical installation activities based upon the overall schedule
- Define and or amend project scope goals and deliverables providing field engineering technical support to the field construction team
- Provide SME input and technical assurance for all aspects of electrical engineering executed by Contractor s in the capacity of an owner& 8217 s engineer
- Assist the Early Works Construction Managers to plan& 044 execute and finalise field works according to strict deadlines and work schedules
- Proactively manage changes in project scope& 044 identify potential crises& 044 and devise contingency plans
- Generate work procedures& 044 documents and plans in collaboration with the HSES and QA managers
- Responsible for technical engineering issues by providing support and solutions to technical problems
- Provide technical advice for the electrical discipline to the Field Project Management Team and Field Base Business
- Liaise with stakeholders (internal and external) and attend stakeholder meetings and continuously build positive relationships
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the Company - HSES Policy& 044 Management System and the Site Specific HSES Management Plan

Required Qualifications Experience- Degree qualified engineer in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 10-15 years diverse technical experience across major hazard facilities (upstream oil gas desirable)
- Strong expertise and experience in design FEED& 044 construction and commissioning phases of large-scale brownfield OG projects
- Project experience in remote& 044 developing& 044 wet tropics locations preferable
- Collaboration with multidiscipline teams
- Commitment to Incident Free Operations including occupational health and safety and process safety excellence
- Knowledge and expertise in OG industry engineering standards and regulations related to electrical and instrumentation design
- Have knowledge of risk-based safety in design concepts
- Highly developed analytical aptitude with excellent problem solving troubleshooting skills
- Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers utilising a high level of interpersonal& 044 influencing& 044 negotiation& 044 networking& 044 communication and presentation skills
- Experience with providing technical assurance and support for engineering teams including communication with people at all levels and explain complex technical issues to persons with low technical skills
