Wood is sourcing candidates from the upper echelon of the PNG market for the role of Planner to be based in at the LNG Plant site in Port Moresby on rotational basis (28 days on off)   This position provides a planning and scheduling focal point for the contract and is responsible for the provision of all aspects of the planning function to the contract delivery team and customers The position requires specialist knowledge of planning and scheduling practices and system internal and external to Wood and some involvement in general area such as management of direct reports The emphasis of the position is on the implementation of best planning practice combined with compliance with organisation policies and procedures Responsibilities - Provides all aspects of planning and scheduling support to Contract team and client ensuring that cost control systems procedures and work practices are maintained - Supports the implementation of project schedule management programmes that provide an accurate reflection of project performance at a project and programme level - Preparation of services schedule and manpower distributions for Work Site activities - Produce and issue updates to project plans and schedules (fully logic linked with a critical path) to enable performance analysis to be carried out - Assess impact of client interface milestones on Wood plans and share relevant Wood milestone data with client through appropriate controls - Monitor overall project progress and achievement of major milestones - Produce and issue updates to project manpower requirements - Contribute the schedule critical path analysis required to justify extensions of time for project change orders variations - Organise subordinate planners within contract to deliver the work effectively - Provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements Skills Qualifications - Ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with the client to understand requirements and with other Wood team members to ensure effective implementation of Estimating requirements - Eccellent written and oral communication skills If you’re an experienced Planner ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today  Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets We operate in more than 60 countries employing around 60 000 people with revenues of over 10 billion   We provide performance-driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream midstream and downstream oil & gas power & process environment and infrastructure clean energy mining nuclear and general industrial sectors   www woodplc com   Diversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following (which is a non-exhaustive list) race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
