HVAC Electrical Technician Lead

Wood is currently sourcing HVAC Electrical Technician Lead to join our PNG team on a rotational basis (28 days on off) Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor this role is responsible for ensuring HVAC systems in the plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with the equipment strategies and manufactures recommendations The HVAC (Electrical) Tech is also responsible for complete system maintenance and assisting in all associated electrical units Responsibilities - Engage in all safe work practices involving HVAC system maintenance to ensure Wood and Clients initiatives are adhered to - Fully implements the collaborative tools that Wood and Client use to achieve an accident free workplace (JSA LMRA OTA O&I Procedures and Processes) - Fully competent knowledge of HVAC principles and multi-manufacturer and types of HVAC - Coordinating competency of trainees and Mentoring on HVAC Maintenance - Participates in daily toolbox talks and ensures compliance with Wood and Clients Work Management processes - Recommend oversee plant site work execution preparation steps to ensure flawless maintenance of HVAC systems - Inventory Management for all HVAC systems - Aid in monitoring maintenance activities to ensure the security and safety of all worksite personnel by providing safe and reliable HVAC operations - Competent knowledge of HVAC principles and multi-manufacturer and types of HVAC - Local housekeeping waste management Skills Qualifications - 5 years minimum experience in HVAC (domestic and industrial) - HVAC Certification accreditation (PLC controlled and Pressurization units) - Trained and certified to PNG Australian standards - Ability to schedule work and order parts unsupervised - Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive and private information - High level verbal and written communication skills ability to produce excellent staff work - Ability to interact effectively with management and external parties - Able to work effectively within Wood and client’s safety and controls environment - Able to multi-task and deal with a high volume of work and many competing tasks - Initiative and enthusiasm to solve problems and deliver results - Strong administrative coordination and prioritization abilities - Able to maintain high standards and volume output in high pressure situations If you’re an experienced HVAC Electrical Technician Lead ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today  Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets We operate in more than 60 countries employing around 60 000 people with revenues of over 10 billion   We provide performance-driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream midstream and downstream oil & gas power & process environment and infrastructure clean energy mining nuclear and general industrial sectors   www woodplc com   Diversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following (which is a non-exhaustive list) race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
