Our client is a global operator in the O&G space with an extensive portfolios across the globe at various stages of development from exploration to production both off shore and on shore in multiple regions Together with the team of recruitment consultants at Brunel PNG they are looking for a Papua New Guinean Citizen to fill the recently available role of Security Coordinator in the filed on their site in the remote Gulf of Papua About this role The purpose of the Security Coordinator position is to provide complete security professional coverage (in conjunction with the presence of the Security Superintendent) across all project impact areas and field sites to supervise deploy and provide guidance to the Contracted Guards and Reserve Police in support of the clients personnel and Contractors in reducing loss and increasing operating efficiencies About you Suitable candidates will have - Minimum 10 years’ experience in PNGDF and RPNGC - High value and credible established networks from previous experience - High level written and verbal communication - High level of physical fitness and be able to pass an extensive pre-employment medical examination - Ability to manage a small team in a remote area with rotational rosters and 24 7 activity - Ability to produce reports at a high level deliver verified intel from multiple sources and ensure the reliability of the intel and integrity of the sources at all times - Site security experience in the extractive industries (Oil & Gas mining) - Minimum 5 years Supervision experience in security operations in resource or industrial sectors - Possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to adapt to any given scenario - Proven negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with management team members peers police and other external agencies - Well versed with security legislation policies and procedures including VPSHR - Analytical skills to collate process prepare and disseminate information Prepare clear concise and accurate investigative reports and implement corrective actions for all security related incidents - Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks crimes and incidents - Knowledge of Community Affairs systems and dynamics - Microsoft Office skills including the Word Excel Power-point - Excellent report writing and presentation skills proficient in English What we offer A rotational role with full camp and medical coverage o site and the opportunity to be part of a large scale O&G project in PNG
