URGENT: Senior Drilling Engineer – 12 Month Contract – PNG – Residential Role
Duration:12 Month Contract
Working Week: 45 hour week
Location:PNG ( Office residential)
Rate:Negotiable day rates dependent on experience and availability.
The Company
An Oil & Gas operating company with a significant project portfolio spanning the oceanic region.
The Project
An onshore land based exploration drilling program, involving overpressure hydro carbonates in swelling shale’s.
The Role
•The mentoring of junior engineers to ensure their quality of work •Ensure the quality of the work meets company project requirements •Have a direct input into Well and casing design work•Assistance in determining mud properties •Implementation of design standards in the associated of well design •Provide direction in writing drilling programs
The Requirements
•15 Years’ experience working in the Oil & Gas industry •Experience with
-Casing design
-Mud properties
-Well bore hydraulics
-Well design
•Experience working with over pressured Fractured carbonates
( High pressure drilling) •Degree in relevant discipline i.e. BEng, BSc•Experience gained working in PNG would be an advantage
