Brief Posting Description Wood Group PSN has recently secured a major new project in Papua New Guinea providing both Brownfield Engineering and Maintenance support to upstream gas facilities and a major LNG facility. In turn, Wood Group PSN requires a Welder/ Fitter to assist with installations and modifications to onsite facilities.Detailed Description This is a full time role with an immediate start on a 4 x 4 rotation. You will be based at either the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant located in the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea or at the LNG Plant located just outside of Port Moresby. Job Requirements To be considered for this position you will have the following:? Prior experience working in a similar position with the oil and gas industry? Certified to install piping and structural steel in accordance with applicable codes and specifications? Experienced in code welding and qualifying weld procedure specifications? Ability to read construction drawings? Experience with the implementation of JSA, LMRA, OTA and O&I safety processes and procedures? Able to work in a multi- cultural environment? Possess strong written and verbal communication skills? Ability to pass a pre- employment medical and provide a police clearance?
