My Client is a leading Operator within the Energy sector, looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to be a part of the Early Works team on a project based in Papua New Guinea. This project, specifically within their Civils, Oil & Gas and Exploration sector, is a long-term opportunity initially office based then move to site, on a 5/5 Rotation.Overview:Under the management of the Early Works and Infrastructures Package manager, the service holder shall be responsible for engineering, then construction:Site clearing, site preparation and construction of New Logistic Base, incl. buildings, facilities, river ramps, quay…Site clearing, site preparation and roads constructions (50 Km network)Site clearing, site preparation and Central Processing Facilities Platform and operation campSite clearing, site preparation and construction of Airstrip with airport facilitiesSite clearing and Well pads platforms site preparationSite Clearing and site preparation of a new construction CampQuarries managementHSE Requirements:The job holder shall undertake all activities she/he is responsible for, or involved in, with the highest level of consideration for HSE risk management, protecting human health, respecting communities and conserving the environment.She/he will promote safety and environment awareness / conscientiousness at all levels through an exemplary and pro-active attitude towards the Project team, the Contractor / Subcontractor and with all stakeholders.Ensures and promotes the use of the Company rules and specifications throughout his activities to ensure compliance with Project safety objectives.Role & Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance and input on all Early and civil works subjects to early works and Infrastructure package manager.To prepare technical information necessary for the issue of EPCm call for tender to perform Early Works and Infrastructures development.To provide technical expertise and assistance on earthworks (including quarries management) and civil works in order to technically and commercially evaluate proposals.To review and get approval of design engineering documents and drawings produced by EPC(M) Contractor.To prepare and present technical dossiers relating to civil work engineering, in order to assist the Early Work and Infrastructure package manager for coordinating the development of technical packages to go out for bids for specific project and construction request works.To participate in the selection of the subcontractors retained for the performance of the fabrication works (Site preparation and infrastructures development)To review and get approval of construction procedures developed by subcontractors.Ensure all subcontractors’ related documentation is produced in timely manner in order not to jeopardize the Project schedule.To follow up site engineering queries during the procurement and construction phases.To follow the site activities on SITE during Construction phase in order to assess site works progressLocation and Environment:Papua LNG project is a combined onshore and offshore project development comprising:Wellpads and the upstream gathering network including flowlines and two parallel multiphase trunklinesUpstream Central Processing Facility (CPF), approximately 30 km from the fieldMain onshore and offshore export system consisting of a single-phase gas pipeline and a condensate pipelineIntegration in existing liquefaction plant located 325 km from the CPF in the vicinity of Port-MoresbyThe project is located in a remote, sensitive, dense and rainy tropical environment.Infrastructures are actually non-existing.Interface with various departments in Affiliate (Permitting, Relations with Communities, Operations, Logistics, HSE, etc…)Qualification:Civil work Engineer or equivalent with forest tropical areas earthworks experience and oil & gas experienceLanguages: Minimum English Level of 3/5 (fluently written and spoken with good technical English knowledge).
