My Client is a Worldwide leading Operator, within the Oil & Gas Industry. Looking to bring on-board a Logistics Manager for the early stages of an Upstream project, based in Papua New Guinea. The position will require a 2 month residential stay in their Paris office (Starting in May 2019) and then a move to Papua New Guinea (On-site). Both locations will be residential.Objective:To provide in country logistics management of several EPC Contractors and suppliers. Within the Papua LNG Project team will be responsible, in close coordination of the logistic department of the affiliate, of the In-Country logistics related to project development activities.ResponsibilitiesPerform logistics engineering studies to design an effective equipment/material/personnel transportSelecting Logistic Services contract to support its activitiesEnsure efficient Customs clearance and permitting process at Port Moresby Entrance Harbour for Vessels (including installation vessels), Barge, cargo, Equipment/Supplies/Bulk, etc.,Organise off-loading, temporary storage and transshipment activities as and when necessarySelecting Barging, Ferry and trucking contract(s) to be used to transport equipment/Supplies/Bulk etc.… to Construction sites located in a remote forestry areaSelecting Ferry contract(s) to be used to transport personnel between Airstrip and logistic base sites.Properly organise and manage the traffic of the river (control tower) used to reach the construction sites, including offloading activities at logistic Bases. This needs to take into account other rivers users (internally (Drilling) and externally).Organise with the support of affiliate the transportation of the personnel from Port Moresby to/from SITE (including Ferry transportation between Airstrip and Logistic base/SITE).Organise, in coordination with the EPC Contractors, the provision of fuel and water, foods and the waste management disposal.Organise specific studies, such as Navigability studies and dredging at Rivers entrance or some areas on the rivers, and the dredging works when required.Liaise with his counterpart within LNG Plant Integration project organisation to optimise all local means (port facilities, customs) to avoid any disruption in Projects activities.EnvironmentPapua LNG project is a combined onshore and offshore project development comprising:Well-pads and the upstream gathering network including flow-lines and two parallel multi-phase trunk linesUpstream Central Processing Facility (CPF), approximately 30 km from the fieldMain onshore and offshore export system consisting of a single-phase gas pipeline and a condensate pipelineIntegration in existing liquefaction plant located 325 km from the CPF in the vicinity of Port-MoresbyThe project is located in a remote, sensitive, dense and rainy tropical environment.Infrastructures are actually non-existing.Interface with variousRequirements:Professional experience:, between 8 and 15 years of experience in a logistics job and 3 or more year of experience in an oil industry affiliate.Proficient in Offshore/onshore logistics relating to construction and installation; Heavy lifting, skidded load-out & module transportation(Self-Propelled Modular Transporter SPMT).Proficient in logistics engineering studies and design particularly for a difficult environment or terrainGood knowledge of logistics resources intended for offshore/onshore oil & gas operations (vessels, helicopters, lifting equipment) and of international regulations in terms of lifting, handling, aeronautics and offshore/onshore practicesKnowledge of operational constraints related to offshore/onshore activitiesAbility to adapt, to analyse problems and communicate with many entities; flexible and able to write Standing Instructions and ProceduresProfile: An analytical mind, organisational rigour, holistic approach and tenacityLanguage: fluent in English, French speaking is desirable.If you are interested or requeire anymore information, please apply above.
