Wood are currently recruiting for Equipment Operators - Grout pumping unit with extensive experience to join our team in Hides Papua New Guinea on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule (28 days on 28 days off) Reporting directly to the Pipeline ROW Area Superintendent the role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Grout pumping equipment Previous experience with grout or concrete pumping and remote site activities required The successful candidate will operate Grout pumping unit and other machines used in construction to excavate load dig or break rocks or debris dirt or other materials Responsibilities - Operates Grout pumping unit and equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Follows specifications for the job and company policies not limited to ‘JSA’s’ Machine Plant ‘pre-start checklists’
- Supervises activities of Grout pumping unit Laborers assigned to assist with excavation
- Provides leadership and task delegation to the Grout pumping unit Laborers through coaching and mentoring to ensure employee skill development
- Ensures all equipment and components are always in good working condition
- Properly maintain Grout pumping unit equipment
- Use proper PPE at all times that follows all Grout pumping unit procedures
- Considering all ‘OHS & Environment’ requirements
Skills Qualifications
- Knowledge of pressure washers pumps pressure valves etc
- Knowledge of basic underground utilities
- Knowledge of proper equipment use conducive to weather conditions (heat cold and wind) and assignment
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industry practices related to equipment use and operation
- Skills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safely
- Skills in daily maintenance of machines including repairs and inspecting equipment to identify possible problems
- Ability to use time and equipment efficiently in order to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- Excellent work ethic - punctuality accuracy and attendance
