Wood is currently recruiting qualified candidates for the role of Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Crane to join our team The role is rotational with 28 days on off site and will be based in Hides Hela Province The successful candidate will ensure all vehicles are safe and reliable by performing maintenance strategies based on Client and Manufacturers recommendations Responsibilities - Engage in safe work practices involving Heavy and Light Vehicle Maintenance shop to ensure safety initiatives are adhered to - Participate in the collaborative tools to achieve an accident free workplace (JSA LMRA OTA O&I Procedures & Processes) - Participate in proper stewardship of heavy vehicle maintenance in accordance to safe work procedures - SWP and applicable regulations - Recommend plant site work execution preparation steps to ensure flawless operation of Heavy Vehicle Shop - Ensure the safety culture and behaviours are consistent - Aid in monitoring maintenance activities to ensure the security and safety of all worksite personnel by providing safe and reliable Heavy Vehicles - Increase competency of Heavy Vehicle Maintenance - Communicate effectively with the Auto Shop on equipment performance and work load to ensure maintenance down time does not excessively impact on the day to day operations Skills Qualifications  - Certified to PNG or Australian Standards for auto mechanics and or diesel fitting trade - Vehicle repair accreditation - 5 years’ experience as an Heavy Equipment mechanic - Knowledge of Caterpillar heavy equipment diagnostic and servicing requirements Selection for employment promotion or any other benefit will be made on the basis of merit ability and suitability We will only consider applications from PNG Citizens If you’re an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic ready for your next project then we are keen to hear from you today Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets We operate in more than 60 countries employing around 60 000 people with revenues of over 10 billion   We provide performance-driven solutions throughout the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning across a broad range of industrial markets including the upstream midstream and downstream oil & gas power & process environment and infrastructure clean energy mining nuclear and general industrial sectors   www woodplc com   Diversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce All suitably qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment on the basis of objective criteria and without regard to the following (which is a non-exhaustive list) race colour age religion gender national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity protected veteran status or other characteristics in accordance with the relevant governing laws
