Morobe Mining Joint Venture are looking to attract an experienced Technical Advisor – Hydraulic to provide hydraulic, grease and fire system technical support for preventative maintenance of all mobile equipment, whilst ensuring health, safety and environment standards are maintained. Ensure maintenance strategy implementation and monitoring to achieve maintenance and productivity targets. Ensure adherence to statutory requirements as minimum standard. Train a National workforce in the Technical details of Hydraulic systems, Lubrication Systems and Fire suppression system operation, repair and servicing. Perform hydraulic maintenance and repairs on all mobile maintenance equipment. Perform servicing and repair to Fire Suppression systems on Mobile Equipment Train and mentor National Workforce in Hydraulic, Lubrication and Fire Suppression systems Identify and report unsafe or defective tooling to Supervisor Wear appropriate PPE for given tasks Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area Have the ability to evaluate equipment damage and to assess the extent of repairs required Control work flow to fully utilise repair machines and to maintain an effective work flow Report all accidents and incidents to your immediate supervisor Stand in as supervisor as required and run shift in an efficient manner Provide informative handovers to supervisor or other trades persons Capable of locating, reading and understanding repair procedures, technical data and MSDS Utilise the Danger Tag and Isolation procedures Actively participate in the development of on-the-job training plans Provide accurate and concise written feedback on work orders as regards hours of work, work performed, parts used and status of job or equipment condition. Maintain accurate records for stock level control and understand supply lead times Ensure all tooling is returned to proper storage location on completion of tasks Provide accurate analysis of maintenance and operating performance of the fleet leading to timely decision making to maintain performance at or above agreed levels. (Essential) 10 years mining experience, especially exposure to Komatsu equipment (Essential) broad experience in all facets of heavy equipment maintenance and repair (Essential) Tradesman Certificate ( Essential) Ability to satisfy requirements to PNG Work Permit and Visa If you have the required experience please submit your application for consideration of this position
